DeafCODE stands for
Deaf Community, Openness, and Dignified Environment.
DeafCODE was created with a sense of camaraderie, friendship, trust and fun.
~CODE~
Community –
We are a deaf community – a group of people with a common interest. Any and all people with a willingness to participate in and with the deaf community are welcomed to join us.
Openness –
We strive for acceptance and work to inform those unaware of deafness what it is, what it can mean, and ways to accept it.
Dignity –
As humans, we conduct our affairs with a certain amount of dignity ad pride. Even though we are deaf, we still have respect for ourselves and others that try to understand what deafness is. We are proud.
Environment –
The atmosphere we create is very important. We want everyone to have a good time and enjoy themselves.
~TheDeafCODE Goal~
Our goal is to bring a positive influence to the Deaf community by providing a place and event for people to meet at one time every month. We encourage anyone with an interest in socializing in a healthy environment to come have fun with us. Getting together can provide networking opportunities for everyone, and brings us all together to help our words be seen and heard. We can make a difference, but that will only happen when we are united in our efforts to improve relations between different cultures and ways of life.
If you have ideas to improve DeafCODE or to support our efforts in making this main goal happen, please contact us at Host@thedeafcode.com , or approach us at DeafCODE events,
every third (3rd) Saturday.
We greatly appreciate any good ideas you may have. We fully support every organization that we know that has a positive impact on Deaf society and the world in general. We will also consider helping anyone start their own organization
